LONG Weekend

We had a long weekend and not in the good sense.

While Williamsport got its first ACTUAL snowfall, we were with Clint’s family to spend time together with his grandmother before she passed. It was not unexpected, but it doesn’t make it any less painful. Kay lived a long life-90 years to be exact! And she was a  model of kindness, love, and devotion. From the second Clint and I started dating, she treated me like her own granddaughter. It was wonderful.

When we drove back yesterday, we had no idea what state our sidewalks would be in (we have a lot of sidewalk). However, we arrived and found that someone had graciously used a snowblower on our sidewalk for us! It was nice, considering it could have been a mess to come back to.

In other news, I’m finally buckling and trying this whole gluten-free diet thing to see if it helps with my headaches. I’ve officially been told my sinuses are fine so I’m not experiencing sinus headaches (although that’s what they feel like) and I’m on enough meds to cut down my migraines to 2-3/mo (a big improvement). I’m still getting really bad daily headaches. Clint’s grandma said she used to get bad headaches before she stopped eating wheat (back before Celiac’s was widely known) and so now’s the best time to try it.

RIP Grammy Eppleman, say hi to Pappy for me! <3

Since moving across the country, I am getting migraines far more often. It stinks.

I get lots of headaches, too, but I am really hoping cutting out gluten doesn’t help. I really don’t want anything like that to be the answer for me.
