Unless you live under a rock, then you know that a horrible earthquake struck Haiti this week and now 50,000 people are presumed dead. Please help the disaster and humanitarian relief efforts by volunteering or making a donation.
**Please though, when making a donation check out the organization before you give them your information! Sadly, there are people out there who are happy to take your money and your personal information without regard for human life.**
If you’re not sure who you can donate to, I have compiled a list of reputable churches, organizations, and other groups (Note: By “reputable” I mean I would feel comfortable giving MY money to.): Read more…
So I just found this YouTube video of our Pastor inside the organ of St Mark’s.
For comparison, looking at this wedding photo (click on it to see it full size):

This is the heart of the church. It is called the nave. If you see the architecture, it reminds you of the inside of a boat…turned upside down.
If you look at the cross hanging all the way at the back of the photo, the organ pipes are in behind the white canvas cloth on that wall and either side of the nave (right and left).
In the below YouTube videos, Pastor Elkin is in behind that canvas, with the actual organ pipes several stories up. Read more…
Day 2 – Saturday
Friday night I didn’t sleep at all. AGAIN. Unfortunately, I was up because of every sound and…ahem, dog snore…kept me from really sleeping. I try so hard not to take Tylenol PM when I have a headache but don’t have to get up at a certain time. So I was up tossing and turning past 2am.
Saturday morning I got up and didn’t do anything because I still felt woozy and off. I don’t really have a really good way of describing this “off” feeling other than I sort of have a headache, light-headed, could use my glasses, and fatigue-y. Yet that doesn’t really describe it either. So I was a bum and didn’t leave the house. Clint got rid of the Christmas tree finally (we got it late, so it was just now turning brown)…I still have to put the ornaments away. They’re currently piled in a gift bag.
Day 3 – Sunday
I felt particularly awful on Sunday and just barely drug myself to Church. This was the first time we’ve made it to church in weeks. I felt like I had the flu (except for the fever and the whole throwing up part) so I knew I wasn’t really sick, as in contagious, but I still felt horrible. I was a lector at church so I HAD to go because I’m tired of feeling like crap all the time. Read more…
