My sweet adorable, kick butt, Army brother is safe in case anyone was wondering! He and his men were not involved in the shooting at the German airport.

He also got promoted to 1st Lieutenant! Congrat’s!

So now he’s officially 1st Lieutenant Eddie Super-Awesome-Brother-Who-Secretly-Has-A-Sense-Of-Humor-But-You-Wouldn’t-Know-It-If-You-Didn’t-Catch-Him-Off-Guard. (You didn’t really think I’d publish his last name did you?)

And I get to Skype with him on Saturday! Yay!

Panic Attack

My brother’s leave is almost over, at which point he will be flying to Germany to serve as a commissioned officer for the United States Army.

He came over yesterday evening for dinner. I made lasagna rolls, we watched funny YouTube videos, and we discussed theoretical situations involving his power as an officer.

Eddie stayed until 10 and it was absolutely wonderful. It’s kind of amazing that we get along so well considering 15 years ago we used to beat each other up.
