God’s eternal plan

1 The works, and the designs, and the purposes of God cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to naught.

2 For God doth not walk in crooked paths, neither doth he turn to the right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said, therefore his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round.

3 Remember, remember that it is not the work of God that is frustrated, but the work of men;

4 For although a man may have many revelations, and have power to do many mighty works, yet if he boasts in his own strength, and sets at naught the counsels of God, and follows after the dictates of his own will and carnal desires, he must fall and incur the vengeance of a just God upon him.

Strengthen your standards!

Another post from Al Carraway here

Here’s a wonderful excerpt:

It wasn’t that I started to change because I knew I had to, but once the spirit enters your life, your souls can never be the same. I made changes without even realizing I did, I made changes before the thought of the church being true entered into my mind.

The happiness was obvious and undeniable. Then I started to consciously make changes in my life just to feel that happiness more and more.

It was noticeable to others what was happening to me, and I felt like I was the last person to know.

Strengthening our standards give us a rule to measure ourselves against in a GOOD way! Don’t measure yourself by the way the world wants but see yourself in the manner God sees you! In the way Heavenly Father loves you!

Christlike love

Charity, or the pure love of Christ, should eminate from within.

“Shine bright like a diamond” πŸ’

Reflect goodness to all those you see πŸ˜‡

7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Fun food Friday: Hipster dog

Molly just LOVES food. People food.

And, you know what? She’s 9, has all her teeth, and listens decently well. So I indulge her.

Note: she’s not allowed at the table or to beg. There’s always been a strict rule about that.

But… in a given week she gets all sorts of stuff. Carrots, cooked sweet potatoes, leftover cooked rice, cantaloupe, apples, blueberries…

Remember you’re awesome

Please go and read this blog page. It’s great for EVERYONE. Whether you’re a little stressed out or A LOT STRESSED out.

Mad props to this lady. I have never suffered from an eating disorder, but I have been dealing with anxiety and depression that developed from events that occurred this summer. Not going to lie, it’s been rough. Cognitive behavioral therapy is helping. And I’m SO GRATEFUL to my Little for being my stand in therapist when needed. πŸ€—
